YMCA had the edge in the A game and two goals from Joe Van-Breeman plus one apiece by Michael Murray and Christie Barlow earned them a 4-2 win. The B game was equally well contested and although Foxhall came out on top YMCA managed to hold on to their overall lead.

YMCA's A team raced into a 4-0 lead and, after Foxhall pulled one back, added three more. Danny Penswick, Jordan Holden and Ben Fishwick all netted twice with Jordan Douthwaite also on target. YMCA's B had an equally outstanding display. Max Rothwell bagging four of the goals and Joel Taylor the other two.
YMCA U11s 5 THORNTON 1
A Luke Andrews strike put YMCA ahead and although Thornton equalised Ben Seear strike restored YMCA's advantage and it was 2-1 at the break. YMCA were in control and the impressive Andrews netted twice more to complete his hat-trick with Rick Beesley also finding the target James Waller and Aaron Kitchin were both outstanding in midfield.
BJFF U12s 3 YMCA 2 (Lancashire FA Cup Second Round)
YMCA had the edge in a closely fought first half and reached the break 1-0 ahead thanks to a Nicky Vann strike.They doubled their lead with a second goal by Vann. But the home side responded netting twice to level and grabbed a winner with an unstoppable shot which went in just under the crossbar. Andy Zeal was in fine form in a great YMCA display. A BRILLIANT second half performance by YMCA earned a win. After an exciting first period it was 2-2. However, after the restart YMCA hit top form and hit a further eight goals with Thornton claiming another consolation. Bradley McSpirit bagged a hat trick, Richard Ayres weighed-in with a pair with Joe Appleton, David Tufft, Jack Sharples, Lee Tobin and Chris Kitchen all on target also.
THORNTON U14s 3 YMCA 4
YMCA started complacently and the home side took a shock 2-0 lead. Two strikes by Alan O'Laughlin levelled the scores at 2-2 when half-time arrived. O'Laughlin then completed his hat-trick to put YMCA in front only for Thornton to score again to make it 3-3. The outstanding O'Laughlin grabbed his fourth of the game in the closing minutes to give YMCA victory.
YMCA U15s 1 FOXHALL 4
FOXHALL deserved this victory and after taking a 2-0 lead squandered enough chances to put the issue beyond doubt. YMCA reduced the deficit five minutes after the restart with a great solo goal by Ben Marks. But Foxhall netted twice more before the end.
POULTON YOUTH U17s 8 YMCA 0
YMCA found Poulton far too strong. The game was virtually over by half-time with Poulton 5-0 ahead and they added three more in the second period with YMCA's attack rarely troubling them. Tony Fecitt and Mick Burrows were both notable for the visitors.
