A HEALTH watchdog has voiced fears that patients being discharged from hospital are being asked to fill in lengthy forms for no reason.

Members of the Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley CHC argued at their board meeting that it was unlikely anything would be done with the information supplied by patients.

The survey asks patients about hospital cleanliness and the standards of care.

Chief officer Nigel Robinson said: "The survey is not the problem, it is what we do with the information when we have got it.

"Nothing happens to a lot of surveys, and CHCs must make sure the results are followed through."
