YOUNGSTERS in Mellor are being offered the chance to take part in a series of summer schools during August.
The events will be at Mellor Village Hall from 8.30am to 5.30pm and are open to children from four to 12.
A range of activities will be on offer, including arts and crafts and sports. There will also be puppet shows, board games, music sessions, story-telling and trips to a steam railway. The sessions have been organised by Mellor village groups after requests from parents for holiday care.
Organiser Ann Wainwright said: "The village's out-of-hours school clubs have proved so popular that we are expanding the service to include the summer schools."
