THE Darwen Library Players will dedicate their forthcoming performance of The Odd Couple to one of its stars June Slater, 63, who died on July 27.
June was due to appear in the production, having previously spent 30 years acting in, directing and publicising players' shows. June's friend Lynda White will now take her part in The Odd Couple, a female version of the famous film of the same name starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, which will run on Friday and Saturday, September 5/6 at the Library Theatre at 7.30pm.
