A 64-YEAR-OLD woman and her 33-year-old daughter tried to fend off a robber as they were walking in Whitefield.
They were in Park Laneon Thursday night at around 11.30 when a man approached them and demanded the mother's handbag.
The daughter confronted the thief but was pushed away and her mother then stepped in to protect her, but the robber grabbed the handbag off her shoulder.
She suffered bruising to her left wrist.
