Plastic drinking glasses launched at Accrington nightclub

A NEW plastic glass campaign has been launched at an Accrington nightclub in partnership with police.

Bosses at Level One nightclub, Warner Street, say using strong new polycarbonate glasses, instead of the more traditional variety, has gone down well with customers, and has also led the club to buy more ‘plastic’ bottled drinks as a result.

Town centre officers hope other bars and clubs take up the idea. Level One Landlord Tony Dobson said: “They are quite sturdy, not like the cheap and nasty plastic glasses people might have seen in the past.”
