Clitheroe pub looks inn great nick after revamp

LANCASHIRE cricketers raised their glasses at the reopening of a Clitheroe pub after a £250,000 revamp.

Oliver Newby, Paul Horton and Tom Smith joined the Mayor of Ribble Valley, Coun Beverley Jones, at the opening of the Inn at the Station in King Street.

Formerly The Station Hotel, the pub had been empty for two months before it was taken over by Gary and Louise Clough, the owners of The Swan in Whalley and the Lancashire brewer Daniel Thwaites.

Mrs Clough said: “We are both extremely excited about this new venture."

Visited the Inn at the Station lunchtime today Sat 13th, was very disappointed, waitress took our order promptly & brought our drinks, after waiting over half an hour we asked about our meal only to be told our order hadn't even been started. Apparently the order had been lost! Paid for the drinks and left .

Give the poor people a chance!!
Saturday (today) was their first full opening day. There are bound to be a few teething problems!
I also visited today, and found them very busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but you knew the place had just reopened.
The pub looks fantastic
