An 82-year-old man who went missing from his home at 10am today has been found safe and well.
Frank Wilkinson had walked 11 miles along canal banks to Adlington near Chorley before being found safe and well by police at 4pm.
The police helicopter and search teams were deployed at about 3.30pm.
He was back at his home at 5.15pm.
