I know there's some empty properties in whalley range area of Blackburn. Might be a good idea to start gaining some support in that area.

As if anyone would risk having these scumbags for tenants! Surely any office rented by them would be at high risk from vandalism or even arson.

That's a fair comment about the risk of vandalism or even arson, but vandalism and arson are criminal offences and should not be condoned. However unpalatable the BNP may be to some, they are at present a legal political aprty and should be offered the full protection of the law.

I dont think anyone is questioning their right to have an office, just questioning whether there is a landlord who wants to be assosiated with the BNP by leasing ofice space to them.

Probably because a lot of people can't comprehend that we live in a country that allows free speech and democracy doesn't just mean the freedom to vote for the four obvious political parties.

Just because the police aren't allowed to vote BNP definitely shouldn't mean that they are also exempt from police protection. (well it seems sometimes that everyone is anyway)

BTW if you've read this far I'd like to point out that I've never voted BNP and i'm not a racist.

I think the BNP should just build their own office and bypass the landlords.

The BNP could rent offices from a BNP sympathising landlord. However as few BNP members seem to even have jobs, the likelihood of them owning any letable property would seem slim.

Just food for thought... if the BNP rise again politically in Burnley after making such an ash of their last chances maybe they will be able to rent the Derby pub bought by Burnley Borough Council. It was said Burnley splashed out nearly £300,00 to buy the premises so they could keep out the BNP. Funny old world in'it.

on a national scale the BNP moving to Burnley would ruin this town beyond repair. A rascist party with traits similar to the Nazis is not what we need, i'm not surprised over 20 landlords have turned them down, would you put your property at risk of national attention and protesting.

Mr. Karim a muslim of Pakistani origin born and bred in Brierfield is also a Conservative MEP. Last time he won elections then he was a member of Liberal Democrats. Muslims Asians and whole minorities across the Northwest of England came out for his support. It felt like a revolution was about to take place. Conservatives have merged or about to merge with more far right and more racist parties in Europe, these parties have stronger views than the BNP. I know many Pakistani’s have traditionally voted Labour, Labour is the Party who have bombed Muslims across the world. BNP, Labour Conservative and Liberal Democrats its all a big swindle. The county’s being run and controlled by big companies who are bigger than any MEP, MP Government or even Prime minister. The BNP are a helpless, mis lead people who think they will get their way- give them a chance let them set up there offices, lets see what they can do. They do not worry me—I have seen the political games played out very closely. I believe the couple of Muslim MP’s MEP or a couple of BNP MEP’s are a by- product of the process and have absolutly no control or say in any matters- Please don’t make anyone a hero by showing that they are being unfairly treated. Muslims , Pakistanis trust me when I say that BNP or anyone else can not make any decisions that will effect us. If the big guys decide that Mr Griffin should be the next Prime minister than there is nothing you and I can do—if the big guys then decide Mr. Griifin the Prime Minister should wear a miniskirt and wear high heels – he will do that. We are made to believe we have the power of vote, its all a big scam.

Freedom of speech means the freedom to say what you want. It does not mean that no-one is allowed to disagree with you or express a different view. Someone disagreeing with you is not an attack on your freedom of speech, it is simply them expressing their freedom of speech.

The real story here is Nick Griffin's implication that landlords were threatened. He said, "My team knocked back at the last minute, with clearly shaken landlords telling them they can’t say why but have no choice but to reject our business”.

But nobody from the BNP appears to have briefed poor Coun Dawson about the story. Inbetween making questionable insurance claims he's actually had the job of looking for the office, and he said, “That’s not around here. People have been positive and have come to us.”

The real story is Griffin's apparent lies. Perhaps one of the BNP supporters here could get a list of these 20 landlords so that Griffin's claim can be checked.

I am saddened to read that people suggesting that i want sharia law or any other oppresive sysytems. Out of all the systems out there democracy is the best and the only solution. But people need to wake up- stop hate - stop control I dont care if BNP, Conservative or Labour or anyone wins or losses, I care and worry about their policies and the laws they are passing. When was the last time a police man used his powers of stop and search and found a bomb ? Everyday we hear a terrorist has been arrested but we dont get told that 99.9% walk off freely. I somply say that all parties are paid by Big Companies to run campaigns to win elections and the elected parties work for their benefit in my opinion. A prime example is the release of the Lockerbie bomber, i dont know if he was the real bomber or not but i know he was convicted of the crime and locked up for it. He was released because Libya agreed to give $15billion worth of business to British Petroleum. Never mind the life's of all the deceased and their families. I have seen people go out to protest against Nuclear Plants. Peaceful protests - the police should be their to look out for the interests of the protestors, but on the specific instructions of the Justice Secretaries they look out for the interest of these big companies. The Nazi Germany war was funded by a bank run bt Precott Bush- they paid for the bombing of GB in the 2nd world war- everyone in the world knows this but the British will not be told because American Companies have invested hugly in todays politicians. How does the credit crunch happen ?- banks lend out huge monies then stop, thats it- it brings the biggest nations to its knees, its a way of blackmailling money from the Government when and if the refuse to play ball. I read the comments of some people and i read is muslims terrorists pakis and thats it, all i say is grow up smell the coffee the world moved on from that 2000 years ago.
