THREE brothers who barged into a house in Nelson armed with weapons and started midnight mayhem which left three men injured are all behind bars.
Burnley Crown Court heard how Sean O'Callaghan, 18, Michael 0'Callaghan, 19, and Liam O'Callaghan, 22, had turned up at the property on Stafford Street, where several people, including women and a sleeping baby were, in January.
One of the women said she was terrified.
Liam and Sean O'Callaghan had weights bars or bars from dumbells with them whilst Michael O'Callaghan had been carrying a spade.
In the violence that followed victims Darren Stewart, Richard Jewell and Gary Riley, whose home it was, were all set about and injured.
The O’Callaghans all have long criminal records going back to the youth court.
Liam and Sean, of Clover Hill Road, Nelson, were both sent to a Young Offenders' Institution for 18 months.
They admitted assault allegations.
Michael 0'Callaghan, of Rhoda Street, Nelson, who pleaded guilty to affray, was given 11 months detention.
