A GOVERNMENT survey has revealed the country’s most satisfied residents live in the Ribble Valley.
The survey, conducted in 352 boroughs, asked questions on a range of services offered by councils, the police, the NHS and other public bodies, such as affordable housing, refuse collection, sport and leisure, and crime prevention.
And the survey has revealed that 94 per cent of the 2,000-plus Ribble Valley respondents are satisfied with life in the borough – the highest satisfaction rate in the country.
Coun Michael Ranson, leader of Ribble Valley Borough Council, said: “We are delighted with results which show the council and its partners must be getting something right.
“Officers and members of Ribble Valley Borough Council are passionate about the area, which is reflected in the quality of their work.
“Ribble Valley also enjoys excellent working relationships with its partners, including the police and primary care trusts, and particularly its residents.”
Ribble Valley also came out on top for parental responsibility and second for confidence in the ability of the authorities to tackle anti-social behaviour.
