Stone the crows, they've taken over Trawden

A HUGE robitic ‘Cyclops’ scarecrow was among the attractions at an annual scarecrow trail and garden festival in Trawden.

Visitors were fascinated by the motorised and robotic scarecrows which were on display and took villagers many days to construct.

The overall winner came from the residents of Beckside Close who created the cast of the Wizard of Oz.

There was also a Father Christmas scarecrow as one villager began the countdown to Yuletide, including the sign “Only 173 days to go”.

Residents opened up their gardens for visitors and people were able to follow a trail of scarecrows around the village.

Creative heads had once again come up with a range of ideas for the popular event during several months of planning, and visitors said it was the best festival yet.
