BNP eyes Burnley town centre for Nick Griffin's headquarters

THE BNP is searching Burnley and Padiham for an office as its North West headquarters.

National leader and newly elected MEP Nick Griffin has instructed party officials to look for suitable accommodation which will become their base for the whole region.

Derek Dawson, a BNP councillor on Burnley Council, is now drawing up a list of potential sites which will be paid for from Mr Griffin’s £180,000 European parliament allowance for an office base.

Party bosses said they would prefer premises in Burnley town centre but they were also considering other sites.

Already they have looked at Padiham Town Hall and a run-down pub, the Derby Arms, near the M65, which was recently bought by Burnley Council.

The move has been condemned by the town’s MP Kitty Ussher and Burnley Council’s leader Gordon Birtwistle has warned it could “drag the town down”.

However, Coun Dawson, a BNP councillor since 2006, insisted it would be good for Burnley, creating several jobs.

Coun Dawson spent Wednesday in Manchester with Mr Griffin as the BNP leader prepares to take up his £60,000 a year role in Brussels.

And yesterday, Coun Dawson was contacting letting agents across Burnley as he headed up the party’s search for accommodation, which could be up and running as soon as next month.

He said: “We are looking for properties in the town centre and that will bring some jobs to the town.

“Padiham Town Hall was a possibility but it is now fully let. We are also interested in the Derby Arms in Padiham Road but it is now owned by the council and is in a state, so it is not top of the list.”

He said he had also spoken to bosses at the Network 65 business park during his hunt for office space.

Coun Dawson insisted there had been “no problems” when letting agents were told what the premises would be used for.

And he also denied the office would bring unwanted attention to Burnley, possibly in the form of anti-BNP protests.

Coun Dawson said: “It is the police’s job to look after councillors, elected MEPs and the public.

“Burnley is central for the North West and we have had councillors here for a few years so it is a good place for the base.”

Nationally the BNP has a number of offices but a spokesman refused to reveal exact locations saying they could be targeted by protestors.

Burnley’s first BNP member was elected to the borough council in 2003 and the party now has four councillors, along with two on Pendle Council.

Last week, Burnley group leader Sharon Wilkinson was also elected to Lancashire County Council to represent Padiham and Burnley West after unseating Labour cabinet member Marcus Johnstone.

However, the disclosure that the party is now looking for a Burnley base for Mr Griffin, who has no previous East Lancashire links, was described as ‘saddening’ by MP Mrs Ussher.

She added: “The worry is how this will be perceived by people outside the town.

“We are a fantastic community in great countryside with a great football team and now we will be seen as the BNP capital.”

Coun Birtwistle added: “This would drag the town down if it happened.

“Mr Griffin may be democratically elected but we do not want the problems that the BNP brings to places.

“Burnley is on the up, thanks to things like the football team and the new university, and we don’t want anything to disrupt that.”

Julie Cooper, Labour group leader on Burnley Council, said she was also unhappy.

She said: “The BNP are deluding themselves because their vote has dropped in Burnley in the past few elections.

“We have just had a wonderful few months and now we could be dragged back into the mire.”

A Burnley Council spokesman confirmed all available office space at Padiham Town Hall had now been let.

The council bought the dilapidated Derby Arms pub, in Padiham Road, in April. Previously its car park has been used for BNP advertising boards.

Nick Aves, the council’s resources director, said the building would probably be demolished and the area regenerated but admitted he could not “rule anything out or in”.

Yesterday, Mr Griffin was unavailable for comment.

He has spent much of this week touring Britain following his controversial election to the European parliament.

Last Sunday, he was met by protests as he made his way to Manchester Town Hall for the election count.

And earlier this week he was pelted by an egg during a visit to London.

Hi All.

My message to all in Burnley :

What you have in your town's leaders are a good bunch, they have kept your town as I would wish to have back for Accrington and Blackburn.

For this, the elite via the now large base in the Trough of Bowland, what used to be the Earl of Peels estate, are hell bent on destroying all that Lancashire used to be. The Duke of Westminister owns this estate and charges £6000 per day for the elite to shoot birds.
He has taken Liverpool by owning Liverpool 1, they are trying to accomplish the same in Preston.

We are under attack by the royal family of this country, and in Burnley the strategy employed is to so disrupt your town with the racial tensions, it gives them access into your town to tear it up.

The BNP are not an 'independant political party, they are controlled by the Crown via the Zionist Anti Defamation League. This does not equate to Jews, the Jews are also controlled by the British Crown, Israel is a front for the British Crown, and a base in the Middle east.

If you the people of Burnley can understand what I have thus written, you can destroy this move by ensuring the BNP never have this office in your town.

If you see the BNP as they are... and not as they promote, you can see they are yet another operation hell bent on destruction by creating tension... you can see your enemy, you can defeat your enemy.

I offer myself at your service, for any information you require, or indeed if i can, to offer my services as an activist working hard to prevent the Crown and its muppets from destroying lancashire, to make it easier to control via the EU.

Give this a little thought :
The estate in the Trough, which lies at the boundary to the Duke of Westminister's estate, is that belonging to Owen Oysten, a man who helped the farmers try to keep their land that the Duke has stolen over the years...I wonder if the fact Owen is in prison has anything to do with his helping the locals, just a thought...

Burnley RIOTS INJUSTICE.

Was the birth of the bnp in England.

Shame the MP,S ,Police the Prime Minister Blair ,the local councilors did not demand that ASIANS WHO SET FIRE TO DUKE BAR BE BROUGHT BEFOR THE COURTS AND SENT TO JAIL.

HOW HOW Silly were the above people.

This is one of the biggest mistakes in History.

If JUSTICE HAD BEEN DONE.

THE BNP would have never ever had a voice in English Politics.

They would have withered away like autumn leaves.

No one in Burnley would have voted for the BNP at all .

Surely the point is that we are supposed to be a democracy? Voters have expressed their legal right to vote and chosen the BNP, we then see (presumably) the left wing desperately trying to hound the BNP out of existence, MP's included. DEMOCRATIC? I think not. It is the left wing PC brigade that are creating a climate of polarisation by their ridiculous demands and pandering to minorities and ignoring the wish of the moderate, sensible masses. I guess voters can express the disgust with the "established parties" in two ways. One is to vote for the extreme opposition in protest, the other not to vote at ALL. The evidence that this is happening now is clear to see with reduced % turnout at elections and minority party votes being cast. Our corrupt main stream politicians need to wake up and smell the coffee.
Before anyone points the finger of bias towards me, I am one who chooses NOT to vote for any of them, I believe I am a sensible apolitical moderate

They are not wanted in Burnley. The town centre has enough problems trying to attract businesses without the added headache of the BNP.

However, for Kitty Ussher to suggest that they would "drag the town down" is beyond belief. Presumably she thinks that shafting the town re the hospital, saying one thing and doing another over the Post Offices, and "pay-me-as-much-as-y
ou-can" over the expenses is NOT dragging the town down. Hypocrisy doesn't do it justice.

I think it is great that the BNP may move amongst their biggest supporters and as for putting people of coming to Burnley it will encourage them as there are many thousands more out there that sympathise with the BNP and are sick of seeing our country over run wiith scrounging immigrants / asylum seekers and moslems with mosques all over the place and many more being built as no council dare say no to the moslems because they fear being called racist and the over used card being played.

I also do know that our troops are part of nato and are not bombing etc on behalf of me or any other true Brit plus the fact i never even mentioned the wars but i truly believe we should not be in either country and should never have got involved and it saddens me to hear of young soldiers getting killed for a worthless cause , they should all be pulled out and the heathen moslems of those countries left to kill as many of themselves as they wish and for the women to be treated like dirt and the schools , tv , music kite flying etc etc be stopped by over religious idiots that do not belong in the real world, but then again the moslems love this sort of thing and as most of them say terrorism wouldnt exist if we were not in these countries then surely this would stop if our troops pulled out ? From all this banter ...people are entitled to their views whichever part of the political divide they are standing. Remember though, we are always used by the politicians and "the city" to live in a divided society, it's their lifeblood.
On immigration, I am sure the people who arrived here many, many years ago from Pakistan only came to better their lives and would have stayed at home if conditions were the same as those in this country. Think how quickly Mountbatten divided their country in weeks not years and fled back to Britain. People from a continent in conflict arrived here to do work in factories and were employed in jobs that local workers no longer wanted to do. Government then subsidised our weaving sheds to scrap their looms and instead of developing and modernising what was one of our finest assets we lost the cotton trade. Clogs to clogs in three generations became a reality and nobody could see the consequence. By that time the people who had come to this country to better their way of life had established themselves with families and what were they to do? Britain had become their home and like other workers in the cotton industry they were out of work. Long before Tebbit told people to get on their bikes they did just that and set up corner shops throughout the region that were sold by the local shopkeepers as supermarkets began to take their trade. Naturally if things are better here than at "home" you encourage your relatives to move, didn't we do that with Canada and Australia after the Second World War with a subsidised passage for £10.?.
So we come to the present situation where we have the BNP taking votes and voters not looking deeper as to why in this area we have people from mainly Pakistan and Bangladesh. We can't solve the present situation by focussing our problems on people who came to better their lives. Leaders in the community who have humanity at heart and with the future of their children and grandchildren in mind could solve this serious problem by straight and realistic talking . I have not seen or heard of such people yet but there must be some. Having lived with memories from the First World War and the 1939/45 conflict people where lads and lasses fought and died for a better country in which to live I fear the worst. I was in Northern Ireland before, during and after the recent troubles and we are getting nowhere in making life a peaceful ageing process.I will not mention Iraq or Afghanistan or the United States wish to still rule the world. I can tell you from my long experience in life Nick Griffin is not the solution but one of many problems of people trying to control the people when it should be the people controlling the master.
I will only believe in God when he comes down to earth and sorts out this mess we are in. He will ceratinly get my vote if I am still with you lot.

Otherwise, Griffin (and the BNP) will be soon dead in the water.

wotmnisnttkn,

Then your UN friend knows nowt...

I have put on the headline page the reality with this bird flu, in new Zealand they are about to instigate new powers to tackle the bird flu :

According to Iris Reuvecamp, a senior associate at Buddle Findlay law firm, issue of epidemic notice for non-seasonal flu, a quarantinable disease under the Health Act, will mean health authorities can :

Require people to submit to medical examination or testing at specified times and places

Require persons, places, buildings, ships, vehicles, aircraft, animals or things to be tested, isolated, quarantined or disinfected as they think fit

Restrict the movement of people and vehicles

Set up emergency hospitals

Restrict public gatherings

Close any premises, except for Parliament and private homes

Reasonable force :

The Health Act also allows the officials to call on police to use reasonable force if they need that to carry out their duties.

And in the UK we have the Contigency Act :
Scope of emergency regulations :

(1)Emergency regulations may make any provision which the person making the regulations is satisfied is appropriate for the purpose of preventing, controlling or mitigating an aspect or effect of the emergency in respect of which the regulations are made.

(2)In particular, emergency regulations may make any provision which the person making the regulations is satisfied is appropriate for the purpose of—

They CAN close borders etc. Does not say WILL.

Where does it say they WILL force injections on everybody from a non starter of a disease?

Anyone can copy/paste it. But why did you not read it? It clearly states it cannot overrule the human rights act.

Why change the subject?

Maybe Griffin (if he could) will close our porous borders. That will slow any disease down.

If money grabber big mouth Kitty Cash Usher put as much effort into trying to pevent the islamification of Britain, as she does in trying to put down the BNP(which are now being voted for by hundreds of thousands of people)then maybe Britain would be a much nicer place, i hope the BNP rent an office block in Burnley and turn it into a real power base.

Life in the mix, no i hadnt had to many Holsten Pils but maybe you had to much wacky baccy, you go on about the " White race " bombing and killing women and children in afghanistan / iraq , this is never done on purpose and are unfortunately casualties of war , but what you should be asking is what was saddam hussien doing ? with intent he gassed thousands of women and children and thousands of men went missing later to be found in mass graves but i suppose you think this is ok ? because a fellow moslem did this to them all.
Not a chance as they would soon find another excuse !!

Yes saddame was no good guy, in fact he believed himself to be Nebachadnezzer re born, and was rebuilding Babylon as a sort of Disneyland, for the world to see the history before the Old Testament, this was the weapon of mass destruction they carped on about...

The first thing the US troops did on invasion was remove all the Sumerian Tablets, in cuniform, that Saddam had put on display and requested the world come and translate them.

yes indeed he bombed with chemicals, but ask were he got them from?

I am a white British male, I am not on one side black or white, I am for understanding the reality as it plays itself before us.

Yes it is obviously correct I see things outside your perception, but are you suggesting I cease in seeing with eyes open and ears operating and see the world as you do?

Try to grasp the meaning of this sentence again :

When troops leave any shore across the world...they are no longer under the command of their respective governments in the theatre of war, they are under the control of NATO.

NATO is not a British or American operation, it has its headquarters in Brussels and is controlled by the same bloodlines controlling the EU.

The House of Windsor are part of this controlling force and the reason the Queen has broken her Coronation Oath, and in continuing to sign all the EU treaties, has acted treason against the constitution of this nation under Common law.
funny thing is bud, I stopped drinking in 1995 and stand as clean as one can be from such substances you put forward. So my illness must be that I am straight, and fully operational as a thinking feeling human being...

Whats your excuse?

wotmnisnttkn,

Look again at what is going on in New Zealand and how they can 'CHANGE' the rules under pandemic,

Then look again at the contingency act...

I change the subject because, as I have explained many times....the BNP are a diversion so you do not see what is going on in the background, and the pandemic is one of them...

Are you really as thick as your ramblings, or is it really too many 'Pills', whichever type one wishes to parrallel

What confused many people was how long it took to take these people to court and why were they taken to London??They got monor sentences compared with the whites in Burnley because the judge etc didn't know the town or the happening. One judge even believed that one of the Britistanis caught waving a sword about was protedting his house ??jeez. The fact that he had travelled over from Bradford was ignored because they din't realise the weren't the same town.

The good people of Burnley don't know how lucky they are to have BNP representation,I wish we had in Blackburn,if you don't want their offices I would welcome them here with opn arms.p.s. i'm not racist just sick of the p.c. left who are prejudiced against the indigenous population.Who along with the press and the anti-nazi party are playing right into the BNP's hands, thickos.

Lifeinthemix, YOU are the diversion. I don't give a monkeys uncle about New Zealand.

Oh, the other poster who said Saddam Hussian gassed the Kurds. WRONG!
Sorry, you were lied to.

At that time, the Iran, Iraq war was raging on quite nicely. The Iranians gassed The Kurds. 141 people died. It was British made gas. Not the Phosgene based stuff the Yanks sold to Iraq. Easily identified by looking at the dead bodies. The Brit stuff makes them look like they fell asleep because they die from nerve paralysis. The yank stuff - they go all contorted.

At least the BNP want us out of the middle East. Unconditionally.

I vote BNP because they are the only party that looks out for the working class white people. Labour have betrayed us and they, together with the Liberals and Tories are crippled from Human Rights and European rulings. I don't care if some sad Lefties think we're all stupid, that's the way I used to think before I opened my eyes to see what has become of East Lancs.

Heres the irony, Hoodle.
If a bully calls you stupid, whats the guessing the bully is educationally subnormal?

Bullies always treat their victims for what they most despise in themselves.

Remember this for when you see a politician open his mouth.

Life , ask where he got them from ? that is of no matter the fact is he used them against his own people / moslems , you write crap the moslems are a scourge on Britain and should be thrown out , this country under labour has bent over backwards to accept their ways at the expense of the British people , but now they are rebelling and rightly so .

holsten pils says...
9:57am Sun 14 Jun 09

How ironic would it be for a moslem to get swine flu , but knowing the labour government they woyuld change the name for them so as not to offend. but the only swine in this country are the mad mullah hate preachers that labour give big houses and benefits to instead of throwing them out f the country , the BNP would have them out in a day.

Quite correct hasslem , i cannot stand the moslems and how they are getting to much of their own way in our country and the number of ugly mosques , they are the only religion that we have trouble with and that is fact , maybe if they adopted our ways as others do i would be more tolerant but they want us to adopt theirs !!
Just to correct you though i do not preach hate because as a white Christian in his own country i would be arrested whereas a moslem hate preacher gets away wit everything and gets a nice big house in London for him and his scrounging family and benefits galore , when in fact they should all be thrown out to a moslem country , if they love islam so much why dont they go to an islamic country , oh yeah ! no free house and benefits !
