Budding designers at Preston College raised money for charity with a fashion extravaganza.
Students displayed their latest designs at a fashion show raising funds for Oxfam’s music and arts campaign, Oxjam, in the main hall of the college’s Park Campus.
The show was hosted by ex-Preston College performing arts student, Craig Cunningham, star of BBC2 comedy The Cup.
The event on Thursday, December 11, featured fashion students from the college’s Art and Design Academy, with dance students modelling the colourful new designs on the catwalk.
Media students promoted the event and hair and beauty students provided the styling.
Launched in October 2008, Oxjam is a six-month fundraising campaign from Oxfam, aimed at anybody involved in the visual and performing arts. It encourages people of all ages to get together and organise events – from gigs to fashion shows, art auctions to street busking – to raise money and help end poverty.
