Hobby makes worthy business for Bacup man

A BACUP man has opened a new health facility despite the global economic downturn.
Gavin Smith, managing director of Pioneer Health and Fitness Studio, has relocated his fitness centre with a £300,000 development.
The new site on River Street consists of an indoor running track, a sauna and steam room, a unisex gym, a resistance pool and a rehabilitation facility.
Gavin said: “This relocation and expansion has been eight years in the making.
“It all started as a hobby for me, but the comments we have received have really made the investment worthwhile. The whole thing feels outstanding.”
Pioneer Health and Fitness Studio is situated at Riverside Business Park, Bacup.
