AN 18-year-old singer has told of his determination to succeed in the music business after being kicked off the X Factor.
Danny Wilkin, who is from Accrington and attended Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School, and his band were one step away from making the live show.
Danny, who now lives in Thornton, originally entered as a solo singer but was invited by talent mogul Simon Cowell to form a boy band with three other hopefuls.
He said: “It was an amazing experience and has made me even more determined to make a career in music.”
Once through to the band finals, Danny, who now lives in Thornton, acknowledges that Priority were ill-prepared for their final performance in front of judge Louis Walsh.
“We only had nine hours to prepare our song,” he said.
“We were from different parts of the country and had work commitments so we were in a different position to the groups who lived close to each other.”
