COMMUNITY House has boosted its green credentials by setting up a paper recycling scheme with the help of a local environmental charity.
The new building, which serves Bromley's voluntary sector, has already been using the Bromley and Bexley Waste Exchange Service to remove items of furniture during the building's refurbishment.
Now the staff at Community House want to put some more green improvements into action by asking environmental consultants Waste Alert to organise a paper recycling scheme.
Waste Alert manager Renia Szal said: “Sixteen collection bins are now in place throughout the building. Everyone is very enthusiastic about the project and we have more than 10 local voluntary organisations taking part.
“We will now look to introduce further green schemes to the premises, such as a green purchasing programme and an environmental policy statement for Community House.”
For more details about Waste Alert, call Miss Szal on 020 8315 2502.
