A SPONSORED abseil is taking place down a popular monument this Sunday.

Those with a head for heights will be scaling down the 1100ft Peel Tower on Holcombe Hill to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust.

The abseil is open to anyone wishing to raise cash for the charity, which offers access to 11 million bone marrow donors and improves the lives of those affected by Leukaemia.

It is open to all ages and no previous experience is required as all training is given by a professional team.

All abseilers will need to register before the event and will be asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100.

For an abseil entry form email your details to elena.jelley@anthonynolan.org.uk.

Sorry, LT, but Peel Tower is 128 ft high - not 1100 ft. That's its height above sea level. I'm doing the abseil on Sunday, but i think it may be too late for others to enrol now.
