A SUSPECTED eBay scammer is set to appear in court after allegedly conning more than 1,600 customers on the internet auction website.
Police say Jonathan Hartley, 26, of Scotland Road, Nelson, will face money laundering, counterfeit goods and fraud offences.
He is accused of using a number of fake identities and e-mail addresses to carry out the alleged sting.
Hartley is accused of advertising a number of goods on the website and then failing to deliver them subsequently.
It has been confirmed that he will appear before Burnley magistrates, to enter a plea to the charges, early next month.
