DRAFT plans for a multi-million pound development have fallen behind schedule.
The plans for a proposed development in Waterfoot were due to be unveiled last month but works to create the designs have fallen behind.
A spokesperson for Rossendale Borough Council said that there was only a slight delay but a new phase of consultation would be taking place soon.
The designs were due to be unveiled in March following a consultation about the scheme in November.
The project, if given the go-ahead, would see the regeneration of the site around Baltic Bridge, an area between Burnley Road East and Bacup Road.
Altringham-based contractors Gillespies were awarded the contract after they saw of competition from 23 other companies.
The initial concept for the regeneration of the area contained plans for a neighbourhood office, a children's play area as well as public parking and a possible housing development.
