New college principal appointed

The new principal of a Leyland college has been named.
Current deputy head at Runshaw College, Kathy Passant, will take over from Mike Sheehan when he leaves in August, to concentrate on academic work and church commitments.
Bosses at the college, which is based in Langdale Road, Leyland, with sites for adult tuition in Chorley, held interviews for the job late last week.
