HUNDREDS of people attended the Lancashire Telegraph's seventh Blackburn jobs and careers exhibition.
Representatives from Lancashire Constabulary, the Army, Royal Navy, the North West Ambulance Service as well as local colleges and businesses were on hand to give out information at the event.
One firm even offered massages to people if they wanted a break as they walked around the stalls int King George's Hall, Blackburn.
Lancashire Telegraph's telesales manager Karen Jepson, who helped organise the event, said: "It has been a really good day. There has been an excellent response from people.
"We have had a diverse range of exhibitors - from colleges, the police, and army to telesales and recruitment firms - and this has been reflected in the people who have attended the event."
Corwynne Whitehead, from Blackburn College, said: "It has been a really good event for us.
"We have had 16-plus right up to retired people to ask about part-time courses as well.
"I found there has been a lot of people who have wanted to get into education, more further education and progress because they have either been made redundant or lost their job or are between jobs."
Sergeant Zeg Awan, from Lancashire Constabulary's recruitment team, added: "We have had a very good response from many different people and we have provided a lot of information.
"They have kept us really busy."
