VIDEO: Burnley man's last moments

THESE chilling images capture the last time murdered Burnley man David Brown was seen alive.

Police released the CCTV pictures a week after his death in a bid help to catch the person responsible.

The images show David, 24, entering the Paramount pub on Oxford Street in Manchester, hours before he was found dead outside his flat in Hulme last Friday morning.

He is wearing a yellow T-shirt and is carrying his jacket.

The next time he is picked up on CCTV he is in nightclub Cruz 101 in Manchester's gay village.

The footage shows him waiting to collect his jacket from the venue's cloakroom at 2.25am.

Minutes later he is again caught by cameras leaving the nightclub alone and crossing Princess Street while putting his jacket on.

Police said that the picture of him in Princess Street was the last time he was seen alive.

It is thought that he then began his walk home.

David had been out for the night on a first date.

Detective Chief Inspector Pete Jackson said he was urging anyone who saw David leaving the nightclub and who could help them to piece together his movements after this point to contact them.

He said: "We need people to help us catch David's killer and any information or sightings of David that night might just provide us with that vital lead."

Mr Jackson said that David visited several bars that night, before going to Cruz 101 at about 12.30am.

He said that once inside the club, David and his date went their separate ways and police are keen to speak to anyone who saw or spoke with David in the club.

Tonight officers will be in Manchester's gay village around Canal Street handing out leaflets to appeal to anybody who may have seen David.

Mr Jackson said: "It is exactly a week since David's last night out that ended so tragically and we are hoping that people who regularly go out and socialise there will think back to this time and let us know if they saw David."

Police said he was stabbed three times in his thighs.

It is not known whether he was attacked outside his flat, in Chorlton Road, Hulme, or if he had managed to walk some distance injured before collapsing.

A floral tribute to David has been created near to where his body was found with more that 30 bunches of flowers placed outside his front door.

A mobile police station has also been set up in Chorlton Road in a bid to gather any information that the local community has about the incident.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Incident Room on 0161 856 3691 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
