AN additional stage and big name headliners will mark the return of Restricted Forest Festival to Blackburn’s Witton Park next month.

The one-day event featuring 35 top DJs is back in Blackburn following previous sold out events.

FooR have just been announced as the special guest headliners.

The group of musicians and DJs from the South coast, who have had tracks featured on Radio One, 1xtra, and Kiss FM, will play the main stage at the festival along with big name DJs such as Radio One’s Charlie Sloth, baseline legend Jamie Duggan and Danny T.

The Pagoda stage will feature dance pioneer Judge Jules, K-Klass, Retro founder Paul Taylor and Shades of Rhythm.

The new stage for September’s event - the Home Tree stage - means that the festival can offer a different genre of dance music, from house and base to old-school and tech on each stage.

Home-Tree, will play tech and tech house music and will welcome DJs such as Max Chapman, Pirate Cope, Pete Zorba, Intu the Woods and local guest DJs.

The festival will also feature laser and light shows, fire breathers, palm readers, stilt walkers, dance performers

Doors will open at 1pm with last entry at 6pm with the event due to end at 11pm. A special after-show party has also been announced at Switch nightclub in Blackburn. The event is age restricted to those 18 and over
