TRAINS have been hit by delays due to a fault with the signalling system.
The fault at Blackburn railway station has left some lines blocked.
Northern have warned that services running through Blackburn may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 2pm today.
Services including from Darwen to Bolton have been delayed.
Northern said: "Please expect delays of up to 30 minutes this morning on services through Blackburn due to a fault with the signalling system.
"For passengers on station platforms, please listen for PA announcements or consult customer information screens for up to date train running information.
"Staff are due on site to rectify the problem.
