A COUPLE received a £500 'bonus' towards their wedding fund.
Toni Heys, from Burnley, was 'wonderfully surprised' to find out she had received the money following a prize draw organised by Liberata, strategic partner to Burnley Council.
It means both Toni, and fiancee Jamie, will be able to put the money towards their wedding fund next year.
Toni said: "It was a wonderful surprise to be told I'd won."
The borough’s residents were offered the chance to enter the draw if they opted to receive this year’s council tax bill online, rather than a paper version. The draw is part of wider efforts by to encourage residents to go online to access council services.
She added: "E-billing is easy to use and winning this prize will help me and my fiancée Jamie pay for our wedding next year.”
Toni had £500 credited to her council tax account once the draw was over.
