A MEMBER of staff at a railway station was verbally abused last night after refusing travel to a man who appeared too drunk to be near the railway.
The incident occured at Blackburn station after a man who was heavily intoxicated was denied entry onto the platform.
A spokesperson from the British Transport Police reminded people that station staff have the right to refuse service to anybody who is intoxicated or unfit to be near the railway.
BTP also tweeted about the 100plus Millwall fans who travelled by rail from their match at Ewood Park last night, saying intelligence will be submitted due to unacceptable behaviour demonstrated by some fans.
