ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman remains keen to add to his squad ahead of today's transfer deadline day so what can we expect at the Wham Stadium?

Kayden Jackson will complete his move to Championship side Ipswich Town today in a club record sale.

The Tractor Boys, who have already signed defender Janoi Donacien from the Reds this summer, are reported to be paying £1.6m for the 24-year-old.

That figure could rise with add-ons while Stanley are also understood to have included a sell-on in the deal.

Barnsley will be due 30 per cent of the transfer after the Tykes inserted a sell-on clause into the move which took Jackson across the Pennines last summer for an undisclosed fee, believed to have been nominal.

The Tractor Boys have fought off competition from Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers as well as League One outfit Peterborough United.

Jackson played for the Reds in their opening League One game of the season, a 2-0 defeat to Gillingham, which was his first appearance in the third tier.

He made 49 appearances for Stanley last season, scoring 16 goals to help fire Coleman’s side to the League Two title.

Replacing Jackson will be the main priority for Coleman and the Reds boss will bolster his attacking options with the signing of Andy Mangan from Welsh Premier League side Bala Town.

The 31-year-old only joined the Lakesiders in the summer but has been training with the Reds in the last few months to maintain his fitness with Bala a part-time club.

He joined Bala in June and featured for the club in their Europa League defeat to San Marino side Tre Fiori but left by mutual consent yesterday.

The Welsh club confirmed he had left the club by mutual consent on Wednesday and the Denbighshire Free Press is reporting that he has signed for Stanley.

Bala boss Colin Caton was quoted as saying: “We could have stood in his way, but it’s a big thing to play in League One.”

Mangan spent two years at Stanley between 2005-2007 and also rejoined for a loan spell in 2008.

He has most recently been playing in the National League with Tranmere Rovers.

Even with the addition of Mangan, the Reds will remain in the market for a striker but with time running out to secure permanent signings, Coleman could look to explore a loan move with that window open until the end of the month.

The Reds chief is also keen to bring in another goalkeeper to rival Jonny Maxted following the departure of Aaron Chapman earlier in the summer but again a loan move looks the most likely.

Stanley are keen on four new faces to help strengthen their squad for League One with another defender also thought to be on the list.

Many Reds fans would love to see Jimmy Dunne return to the club on loan from Burnley given his success in a Stanley shirt in the second half of last season and the arrival of £15m man Ben Gibson at Turf Moor has pushed the Irishman further down the pecking order.

He is well thought of at Burnley but a loan move into League One looks most likely for the 20-year-old although that move could be done later in the month.
