WORKING on an open-top tour bus in Brighton inspired Ben Garcia to take up a career in public transport.
The 22-year-old , who grew up in the seaside resort and Torremolinos in Spain, is the latest recruit to Transdev Blazefield's graduate management trainee scheme.
The Harrogate-based firm runs several operators and routes across the North of England in including the Blackburn and Burnley Bus Companies, Rosso, Mainline, Witchway, RedEXPRESS and Hotline.
Gateshead-born Mr Garcia admits his experience on the Brighton tours was where he 'caught the bus bug'.
The Plymouth-university graduate said:“I’m very much looking forward to travelling on our network in Lancashire and Yorkshire, and meeting people throughout the business . I can’t wait to get stuck in and help to deliver the highest standards of customer service.”
Transdev Blazefield chief executive Alex Hornby said: “Ben’s enthusiasm and passion for public transport are the ideal qualities for his role."
