A COUNCIL leader has invited residents to speak with him about local issues later this month.
Mark Townsend, the leader of Burnley Council, will hold his next “out and about” surgery in two weeks time in Burnley town centre.
As well as browsing the town centre shops, people can raise their points and questions about local services and issues for the town, and get information on council services.
The Labour councillor said: “I invite anyone to come along and talk through any issues or concerns they have.
"These Out and About surgeries are an opportunity for people to talk to me face-to-face about things that matter to them and their community.”
It will be held in Curzon Street, Burnley between 10am to noon on Saturday, August 11.
If you can’t make it along in person to one of these drop-in surgeries there are other ways to contact the council leader by phone on 01282 477254.
