DOES your dog have star potential?

The producers of the Wizard of Oz which comes to Blackpool Opera House this Christmas are searching for two dogs to play Toto in the musical based on one of the most popular movies of all time.

The successful dogs will alternate the part between performances,

They are looking for dogs big or small, young or old, hairy or bald, to audition for the chance to be in the show which stars Kelvin Fletcher, Emmerdale’s’ Andy Sugden and X Factor finalist, Holly Tandy.

Selladoor, the team behind the show, will be coming to Blackburn on Wednesday, August 8 to hold auditions. Times and locations for these open auditions will be released in the coming weeks via @wonderfulWOZ on social media.

Every pup entered will be carefully considered by a team of creatives and if your dog has what it takes, you will both be invited to the grand final to be held in the Winter Gardens Blackpool on Sunday, August 26 - which is also World Dog Day. There a panel of guest judges will decide which two dogs will be heading to the Emerald City.

Winning owners will also receive £500 to cover expenses during the run of the show.

The Wizard of Oz runs at Blackpool Opera House from Friday, December 7 to Sunday, December 30.
