A MAN charged in connection with a seven hour rooftop stand-off has pleaded guilty to affray.
But David Thomas Osbaldeston, 25, of Spring Street, Rishton, will stand trial later this year over allegations of criminal damage and possessing of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Osbaldeston appeared before Judge Sara Dodd at Burnley Crown Court via video link from Preston Prison and spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth, nationality and enter his guilty plea to affray.
He was not arraigned on the criminal damage charge which relates to a gate and the weapons charge which relates to a knife.
The charges are connected to an incident in Commercial Street, Great Harwood, on June 23 when police had to cordon off an area of the town centre after a man climbed onto the roof of the old Snuffy's Bar.
Osbaldeston was remanded in custody and told he will stand trial on November 26. The trial is expected to last for three days.
