A CURRY house celebrating its 30 year anniversary has been nominated for the 2018 English Curry Awards.
Shagor Tandoori takeaway, on Colne Road, Burnley has been shortlisted for the best home delivery and best takeaway in the North West for the national award.
The family business was first established in 1988 making it one of the longest running curry houses in Burnley.
Motty Rahman, who is the owner of the takeaway, has praised his customers and staff for the work over the past year.
Mr Rahman said: “We’re delighted to have been named due to all the hard work we’ve put into Shagor.
“It would be a fantastic achievement if we won and it’d be fantastic for our business.
“A huge thanks must go to all our wonderful customers for their nominations and votes."
Shagor will represent the North-West in the 8th English Curry Awards and will glam up for a glittering finals on August 20 at Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, on Portland Street.
