A MAN was allegedly subjected to homophobic abuse before being drenched in urine, police have said.

Officers have issued a witness appeal following the hate crime which is said to have taken place on the X43 bus from Manchester to Burnley in the early hours of this morning.

Nobody has been arrested in connection with the incident and police are also yet to speak to the victim of the attack.

Burnley neighbour policing team posted on Facebook: “We have received information that a man was subject to homophobic comments and had urine thrown at him on the X43 bus from Manchester to Burnley in the early hours of today.
