A MAN has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with the murder of Christopher Moore.
Atif Muhmood, 38, of Bankhouse Road, Nelson, was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court where he will appear on Monday. He spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth during the brief hearing.
Mr Moore was found dead at his home in Derby Street, Nelson, and at first treated as a non-suspicious death.
A post mortem examination revealed he had suffered a number of injuries and the police began a murder inquiry.
