A HOMELESS man told police he had stolen from Aldi in Accrington because he was hungry and had no money.
Lee Frank Tattersall, 35, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing two cordless drills.
He was given a conditional discharge for 18 months and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge.
Paul Huxley, defending, said after his last appearance in court in April Tattersall had been thrown out by his mum.
"She had given him a final chance and he blew it," said Mr Huxley.
"He was struggling with his finances because he was homeless but hopefully he has managed to sort that out now."
