A VAN was driven at a man in Blackburn, leaving him with serious injuries.
At 2.15pm on Thursday, May 24th the 29-year-old man was walking on Old Bank Lane with a woman when two men pulled up in a white Citroen Berlingo van and attacked him.
As he was crossing the road, the attackers returned to the vehicle and drove away, knocking him over.
The footage clearly shows the man throwing a road-side traffic cone to stop the attackers running him over
The Berlingo, which was stolen, has since been recovered and returned to its owner.
Detectives are now trying to identify the attackers or anyone who saw the van – which has the registration LB65 FMA – around the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference ED1811082 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
