THE Blackburn Business Improvement District’s (BID) Manager since 2013, Harriet Roberts, has left.
She is moving onto new consultancy roles across the UK.
Nicola Clayton, BID Chair, said, “We are sorry to see Harriet leaving, but we can only be positive about the level of partnership working she has encouraged across the town as well as her delivery of an impressive programme of events, a range of security initiatives and schemes to make the town greener and cleaner."
Mrs Roberts said, “I am moving on to pursue UK wide consultancy work. I have made many friends and happy memories working together on collaborative campaigns and partnership initiatives such as the Blackburn Heritage Festival, Countryside Comes to Town and the town’s Christmas programme.
“Being part of Blackburn’s success story has been an incredible journey.”
The BID is seeking a new five-year term from 2019 to 2023.
The proposal will go to the vote of BID Levy Members in September and no replacement manager can be appointed till after that vote.
