THE ‘Queen of Crime’ Val McDermid will be one of the special guests at Todmorden Book Festival in November.
The best-selling author who has sold over 15 million books worldwide is due to publish her 28th novel in August.
She is best known for for her darkly gripping Wire in the Blood series, featuring clinical psychologist Dr Tony Hill and DCI Carol Jordan, which was adapted for television and starred Robson Green and Hermione Norris.
Todmorden Book Festival is the town’s first book festival and takes place from Friday, November 16 to Saturday, November 24.
The festival promises an exciting programme of fiction, non-fiction and poetry events for adults, young adults and children, and aims to reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region.
