A BOY was airlifted to hospital following an accident which left him with serious head injuries.
He was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool by a helicopter which had landed on Victoria Street near St John's School, Blackburn.
A spokesperson for Air Ambulance North West said: "The air ambulance and crew were called to Victoria Street for an incident.
"It involved a male who was receiving treatment for suspected head injuries.
"He was driven by a road ambulance to an air ambulance and then the helicopter took him to Alder Hey Children's Hospital."
Further details are currently unknown.
