THE Calico Group has pledged to tackle domestic abuse across East Lancashire
The group is backing the The Make a Stand campaign which centres around a pledge which has been developed by the Chartered Institute of Housing in partnership with Women's Aid and the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance.
It consists of four commitments which housing organisations can make to support people that live and work in housing who are experiencing domestic abuse.
Helen Thompson, the group's executive director, said: "We are proud to sign the Make a Stand pledge, and we are extremely committed supporting victims of domestic violence.
"We are actively working in partnership with SafeNet to ensure life-saving help is available to anyone who needs it.
"Alongside SafeNet, we have built Jane's Place, the only complex needs refuge in the north."
Katie Ghose, chief executive of Women’s Aid, said: "Calico Homes has sent out a powerful message to survivors of domestic abuse that they are not alone and that there is help and support available to them."
