A COMMUNITY group has secured funding to host a number of 'bushcraft' events.
Friends of Sunnyhurst Woods announced via the group Facebook page that they would be working with Blackburn with Darwen Council and community interest group Newground Together to organise the events, which will allow those taking part to develop their wilderness survival skills.
A spokesman for the group said: "Our friend of Sunnyhurst Wood Gail Wright has secured funding for two bushcraft events in the wood.
"We are working with Blackburn with Darwen council and Newground Together to organise these events.
"Thank you to the W M and B W Llyod Charity for granting us this funding."
