A MAN has been taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle.
Police were called to Old Bank Lane, Blackburn shortly after 2pm.
A police spokesman said a man had been hit by a vehicle and taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.
He said: "We received reports of a collision between a man and a vehicle.
"The suggestion is that the vehicle has made off from the scene.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
An Old Bank Lane resident said: "I was out gardening and saw the ambulance go past.
"Next thing I know police vans and cars block the road up and no one can get down there.
"I have been told a lad has got a head injury. I do hope he's ok, it must be horrible for everyone involved."
