A RARE opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of opera is part of this summer’s Ribble Valley Music Festival
The Encore Opera Group will be giving a concert at Christ Church in Chatburn next month with a programme especially designed for opera ‘beginners’.
The afternoon will include well-known arias, solos, duets and choruses and before the performance, members of the opera will explain the story behind each piece and the characters involved increasing the enjoyment of some of the best loved music in the world.
Based in the North West, Encore Opera specialise in taking the music they love out of traditional theatres and venues and into local communities, showcasing both established and emerging performers and featuring some of the most well known pieces of music from the opera world.
The Ribble Valley Music Festival aims to help raise funds for all the host venues and proceeds from the concert will go to Christ Church.
