BLACKBURN Rovers are backing a campaign to recruit foster carers.

Midfielder Elliott Bennett is helping to promote fostering features in a video to help Blackburn with Darwen council find 7,000 new foster families in the next year.

The borough campaign by leading charity The Fostering Network and the local authority is also supported by local comedian Tez Ilyas.

Mr Bennett said: “This is a fantastic campaign, the club is proud to support efforts to help find more foster carers for children in need of a loving home."

There will be an information stand at Blackburn Central Library between 10am and 1pm on Monday, May 21.
