A FORMER retail unit will be converted into a new hot food takeaway.
Burnley Council approved plans to create a new takeaway at Briercliffe Shopping Centre.
At least six jobs will be created as a result of the change of use of the property.
The new Briercliffe Road premises will include two separate seating areas.
There will also be a cook line behind the counter, along with a table to prepare food, a chiller, washing up facilities and staff toilet.
The takeaway will be open to the public from 10am to 11pm on Sundays to Wednesdays and bank holidays.
It will then be open later, from 10am to midnight, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Litter bins will also be provided both inside and outside the premises at all times the takeaway is open.
No objections were received for the proposal. The applicant has yet to release details about the type of food that will be sold at the business.
