FIRE fighters have dealt with an incident where a 'runaway' lorry crashed into a cage containing gas cylinders.
The incident occurred yesterday evening at the entrance of the Glisten Factory on Hill Street near Tesco Extra, and one factory worker was injured.
A fire service spokesperson said: "The fire service was called out by the police to attend the scene.
"The runaway lorry had first collided with a wall and then into the cage containing the cylinders.
"One man was locking the gates outside the factory at the time and was hit by debris from the collision."
There was no driver inside the HGV at the time, with the fire rescue services describing it as a 'runaway lorry.'
All cylinders were secured by the fire rescue services.
