A MUM who refused to let her son into her home saw him kick her car.

Blackburn magistrates heard Joshua Joseph Livesey was getting more and more angry and his mum eventually called the police.

Livesey, 21, of Fowler Height Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 compensation. He was also made subject to a restraining order which prohibits him from having any contact with his mum for six months.

Alex Mann, prosecuting, said Mrs Livesey had been having problems with her son and described him as angry all the time.

He had been texting asking if he could come home but she blocked him and didn't reply. About 11 pm there was a loud banging on her door and Livesey said he wanted to come in.

"She told him no and then saw him kick her car causing a dent in a door," said Mrs Mann.

Jonathan Taylor, defending, said his client thought matters had calmed down and became frustrated when his mum wouldn't let him in.

"He wanted to be let in so they could discuss things," said Mr Taylor.
