A MAN turned to shoplifting because he had no money following his release from prison.
Blackburn magistrates heard Nicholas John Fallon's life continued in a downward spiral until eventually he handed himself in to the police and said he believed they were looking for him.
Fallon, 36, of Bank Street, Barnoldswick, pleaded guilty to three charges of shoplifting. He was made subject to a community order for 12 months with a nine months drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay £84 compensation.
