A MAN who went to help a friend whose car wouldn't start ended up being breathalysed.
Blackburn magistrates heard Adrian Cielma had been the passenger in the rescue vehicle but got behind the wheel on the way home.
Cielma, 27, of Worcester Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol, without insurance and other than in accordance with a driving licence. He was fined £400 with £85 costs and £40 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 14 months.
Scott Parker, defending, said a friend had driven Cielma to help another friend whose car wouldn't start. When he got the car started he drove straight to the garage and Cielma foolishly followed in the other car.
